Volleyball Recap: Lowndes Victorious

Lowndes won the last time they faced Madison County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vikings came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lowndes took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-14.

Among those leading the charge was Natalie Kolb, who had seven digs and four aces. Those four aces gave her a new career-high.

Kolb wasn't the only good server: Lowndes was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in nine consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Lowndes' victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Madison County, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Lowndes has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Lee County on the 21st. As for Madison County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 victory against Fort White on the 20th.
