Baseball Recap: Fountain-Fort Carson Takes a Loss

If Fountain-Fort Carson was riding high fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Overland last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans fell just short of the Pueblo Central Wildcats by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Nathan Illert made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Fountain-Fort Carson's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Pueblo Central, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Fountain-Fort Carson will face off against Pueblo South at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pueblo Central, they will take on Greeley West in a tournament on Friday.
