Softball Recap: Rich Township Raptors vs. Thornton Wildcats
Rich Township can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They blew past the Thornton Wildcats 15-5. The win was nothing new for Rich Township as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kasidy Whitaker was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maliyah Watson, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.
Rich Township pushed their record up to 10-13 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Thornton, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rich Township will challenge Crete-Monee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Thornton, they will head out on the road to take on Bloom at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
