Cary-Grove lost to Rolling Meadows back in January of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Cary-Grove Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-39 victory over the Rolling Meadows Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Cary-Grove's record now sits at 10-6. As for Rolling Meadows, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-4.

Cary-Grove and Rolling Meadows should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Cary-Grove (ranked 114th) will meet Crystal Lake Central (ranked 244th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Rolling Meadows will face off against Buffalo Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 238 places (67 vs. 305).
