With a playoff win on the line, South Adams rose to the challenge on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Woodlan Warriors 6-4. The victory was nothing new for the Starfires as they're now sitting on ten straight.

Addie Baker made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over eight innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Shelby Weigel, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Tessa Bernard, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

South Adams hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.

South Adams' record now sits at 24-5. As for Woodlan, their loss dropped their record down to 24-6.

As of now, neither South Adams nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
