Soccer Game Preview: LaBelle vs. Lemon Bay

LaBelle is 0-3 against Lemon Bay since February of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls will challenge the Lemon Bay Manta Rays at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

LaBelle is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They came out on top against Cypress Lake by a score of 3-1.

Meanwhile, Lemon Bay waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. The Manta Rays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by four goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting DeSoto County from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Daria Lukash led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

LaBelle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those seven contests. As for Lemon Bay, their win bumped their record up to 14-4-2.

LaBelle might still be hurting after the 5-0 defeat they got from Lemon Bay when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can LaBelle avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
