Volleyball Recap: Forest Lake Rangers vs. Anoka Tornadoes
After flying high against Andover last Tuesday, Forest Lake came back down to earth. The Forest Lake Rangers fell just short of the Anoka Tornadoes by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Rangers haven't had much luck with the Tornadoes recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Forest Lake actually scored more points across those five sets (103-102), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 15-25, 25-23, 25-17, 15-13.
Forest Lake now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Anoka, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forest Lake will welcome Mounds View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Anoka, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Champlin Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Champlin Park will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Anoka surely won't give up without a fight.
