Volleyball Recap: Wheaton Comes Up Short

Wheaton lost against Pierce City two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Pierce City can attribute much of their success to Sophia Prater, who had 14 digs and one assist.

Wheaton's loss dropped their record down to 2-12-1. As for Pierce City, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5-2 record this season.

Wheaton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Jefferson Independent Day on the 4th. As for Pierce City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Purdy on the 4th.
