Softball Game Preview: South Lyon Lions vs. Walled Lake Northern Knights

The South Lyon Lions will take on the Walled Lake Northern Knights on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as South Lyon comes in on five and Walled Lake Northern on six.

South Lyon is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They never let Northville get on the board and left with a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, Walled Lake Northern faced Grand Blanc in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Bobcats 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since May 8th.

South Lyon's win bumped their record up to 24-8. As for Walled Lake Northern, their victory bumped their record up to 29-5-1.

South Lyon couldn't quite get it done against Walled Lake Northern when the teams last played back in May as they fell 5-1. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
