Baseball Recap: Seneca Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cassville on Tuesday, Seneca came back down to earth. The Indians fell just short of the East Newton Patriots by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Seneca's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 14-6. As for East Newton, the win got them back to even at 11-11-2.

Looking ahead, Seneca will head out to challenge Aurora at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for East Newton, they will square off against Diamond at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
