Basketball Recap: William Tennent Gets the Win

There's no place like home for William Tennent, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 58-57 victory over the Bensalem Fighting Owls. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 58-35 defeat the last time these two teams met.

When it comes to explaining why Bensalem lost on Friday, don't look at Amir Drummond. Despite the final result, he posted 27 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Trevor Morris, who put up nine points and eight rebounds.

William Tennent's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Bensalem, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7.

William Tennent will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Upper Moreland at 7:00 p.m. Upper Moreland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully William Tennent likes a good challenge. As for Bensalem, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-54 victory against Cheltenham on the 18th.
