Softball Recap: Bismarck Comes Up Short

After flying high against Grandview last Saturday, Bismarck came back down to earth. Bismarck came up short against the West County Bulldogs on Monday, falling 13-3. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Ayla Hawkins was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Grace Randazzo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Bismarck's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bismarck will face off against Valle Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West County, they will take on Bourbon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be West County's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
