Soccer Game Preview: Benjamin vs. Lakeland Christian

The Benjamin Buccaneers will square off against the Lakeland Christian Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Benjamin sitting on six straight victories and Lakeland Christian on five.

Benjamin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand King's Academy a 1-0 shutout. Kenna Kujawa had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Buccaneers.

Berkeley Prep typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday Lakeland Christian proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Buccaneers 1-0. The Vikings' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five games.

Benjamin pushed their record up to 9-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three contests. As for Lakeland Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
