Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Brookeland walked away with it. They took down the Broaddus Bulldogs 52-36 on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Wildcats, who have now won 13 contests in a row.

Landon Smith was his usual excellent self, going 9-for-18 en route to 26 points and four steals. His big performance that evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Cade Morgan, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Brookeland's win bumped their record up to 26-7. As for Broaddus, their loss dropped their record down to 23-12.

Brookeland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 111-34 victory against Jonesboro on the 21st. Broaddus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
