Volleyball Recap: Norris Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Lincoln Lutheran

Norris faced Lincoln Lutheran in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Titans put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

While Norris won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-22, 25-8.

Leading Norris to victory were Makinley Ramsey and Alli Bornschlegl. Ramsey had five digs and two aces, while Bornschlegl hit 50% for 17 kills and ten digs and one block. Bornschlegl has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 43 times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Norris was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in ten consecutive matches.

Norris' record is now 33-1. As for Lincoln Lutheran, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight matches and leaves them with a 26-6 record.

As of now, neither Norris nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
