Basketball Recap: Westmoor Comes Up Short

Westmoor was the 63-60 winner over Capuchino when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Westmoor Rams fell just short of the Capuchino Mustangs by a score of 55-52 on Wednesday. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Dominic Vanden Berghe was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 15 boards for Capuchino. The dominant performance gave Vanden Berghe a new career-high in points. Matthew Alas was another key player, going 6 for 14 on his way to 20 points.

Westmoor's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Capuchino, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-9.

Westmoor has already played their next game, a 75-44 loss against Terra Nova on the 24th. As for Capuchino, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-58 victory against Oceana on the 24th.
