Softball Recap: Master's Academy Has No Trouble Against Pine Ridge

Master's Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Pine Ridge, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Master's Academy Eagles were the clear victor by a 21-1 margin over the Pine Ridge Panthers on Tuesday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Reagan Peri made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single hit, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits.

In other batting news, Isa Moya was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren McMeel, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Master's Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Master's Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Pine Ridge, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7-1.

Looking ahead, Master's Academy will host Lake Highland Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Highland Prep has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.43 runs per game on average), something Master's Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pine Ridge, they will head out on the road to challenge Seabreeze at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
