Volleyball Recap: Classical Prep Find Success

Classical Prep proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Angeline Academy of Innovation Archers 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Archers back in August, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Classical Prep was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (100-93), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-16, 25-21, 13-25, 15-13.

Madelynn Zimmermn paced Classical Prep's offense, picking up 29 kills. Zimmermn got some help from Anabel Christianson and her 38 assists. Brianna Behner controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Classical Prep now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Classical Prep has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against North Tampa Christian Academy on the 17th. As for Angeline Academy of Innovation, they will venture away from home to take on Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
