Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Christian Eagles vs. Triton Central Tigers

The Heritage Christian Eagles just played last yesterday, but they'll still welcome the Triton Central Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Heritage Christian is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

On Thursday, Heritage Christian came up short against Christel House and fell 48-37.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Triton Central's strategy against Morristown on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Triton Central blew Morristown out of the water with a 75-29 final score. That 46 point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Heritage Christian better keep an eye on Eli Sego. He was instrumental in Triton Central's win, going 10 of 11 on his way to 24 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. Sego's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cael Butler, who posted nine points.

Triton Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Heritage Christian, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Heritage Christian didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Triton Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, but they still walked away with a 54-50 victory.
