Baseball Recap: Lenoir City Comes Up Short

Lenoir City lost against William Blount on April 10th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Panthers came up short against the Governors, falling 18-4. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Branson Dean made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one double.

Lenoir City's record now sits at 9-22. As for William Blount, the win got them back to even at 16-16.

Looking ahead, Lenoir City will host Sequoyah at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers are facing the Chiefs at the right time seeing as the Chiefs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for William Blount, they will venture away from home to square off against Hardin Valley Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games the Hawks have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
