Basketball Recap: City University School of Liberal Arts vs. University Tigers
On Thursday, City University School of Liberal Arts ended up a good deal behind the University Tigers and lost 63-48. City University School of Liberal Arts has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tyler Reliford and Anthony Carrick certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Reliford went 6 of 15 en route to 19 points and three steals, while Carrick went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds.
University was led to victory by LaTrevius Gant and Lexington Griffin. Gant went 10 of 15 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds, while Griffin went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points and five assists. Gant is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for four straight games.
City University School of Liberal Arts' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-7. As for University, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season.
