Basketball Game Preview: Notre Dame Academy Irish Wolfhounds vs. Praise Academy Lions

The Notre Dame Academy Irish Wolfhounds just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Praise Academy Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Notre Dame Academy will be strutting in after a win while Praise Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

On Wednesday, Notre Dame Academy was fully in charge, breezing past Cottage 58-15. The Irish Wolfhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 33 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Notre Dame Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jazlynn Brown, who dropped a triple-double on 19 points, 17 boards, and 11 steals. Brown's evening made it 11 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cara Amadi, who went 13 for 25 en route to 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Notre Dame Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in 15 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Praise Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Notre Dame Academy and fell 60-20.

Notre Dame Academy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.7 points. As for Praise Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

Everything came up roses for Notre Dame Academy against Praise Academy in their previous matchup on Tuesday, as the team secured a 60-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Notre Dame Academy since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
