Softball Recap: Moody Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Moody can now relate to. They fell 8-3 to the Riesel Indians on Thursday. The Bearcats haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Emma Ward made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Elanna Edwards, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Moody's defeat dropped their record down to 20-10-1. As for Riesel, they pushed their record up to 26-4-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Moody does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riesel, they will challenge Clarendon on the 24th. The Broncos will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight.
