Softball Recap: Doherty Spartans vs. Pine Creek Eagles
Doherty lost against Pine Creek back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Doherty Spartans came up short against the Pine Creek Eagles, falling 14-2. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Doherty will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Pueblo Centennial at 10:00 a.m. Doherty has given up an average of 14.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Pine Creek, they will face off against Douglas County at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Douglas County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.8 runs per game this season.
