Basketball Recap: Paw Paw Takes a Loss

Paw Paw lost against Berkeley Springs back in February of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Paw Paw Pirates took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Berkeley Springs Indians.

Despite the loss, Paw Paw still got an impressive performance from Donavan Tanouye, who posted 20 points in addition to eight steals and five rebounds. The matchup was Tanouye's 12th in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Braylen Paul, who earned eight points.

Paw Paw has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. Berkeley Springs' victory bumped their record up to 8-9.

Paw Paw wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-47 loss against Union on the 19th. As for Berkeley Springs, they have also already played their next matchup, a 53-49 win against Clear Spring on the 18th.
