Football Recap: Taavon Fitz's Menacing Defense Leads Dan River over William Campbell + How To Watch

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Dan River and William Campbell meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Wildcats blew past the Generals 42-16. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildcats also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Dan River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Fitz, Joshua Richardson, and Tanner Atkinson picked up one apiece. Atkinson has been hot for a while, having also posted five or more total tackles the last 17 times he's played. Fitz got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
