Baseball Recap: Valmeyer Takes a Loss

Valmeyer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 16-4 to the Wesclin Warriors.

Valmeyer saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Brandt, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Valmeyer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Wesclin, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-10 record this season.

Valmeyer didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-3 loss against Gibault Catholic on the 28th. As for Wesclin, they are taking a road trip to face off against Red Bud at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Musketeers have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
