Soccer Game Preview: Bellingham vs. Squalicum

The Bellingham Bayhawks will head out to face off against the Squalicum Storm at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bellingham is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Lakewood on Thursday as they made off with a 5-2 victory. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Meanwhile, Squalicum kept a clean sheet against Sedro-Woolley on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Cubs. The win made it back-to-back victories for Squalicum.

Squalicum pushed their record up to 7-1-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four contests. As for Bellingham, their win bumped their record up to 5-2-2.

Bellingham skirted past Squalicum 2-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Bayhawks repeat their success, or do the Storm have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
