Morningside Academy has gone a perfect 5-0 against Greenacres Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Eagles (Eddy) will be playing at home against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.
Morningside Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 65-21 victory over Pineapple Cove Classical Academy. That 44 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles (Eddy) this season.

Morningside Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was AJ Chang, who posted 16 points along with five assists and five steals. That's the most steals Chang has posted since back in January. Jaiven Jackson was another key player, going 5-for-8 on his way to 17 points and eight boards.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greenacres Christian). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Berean Christian 78-29. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Greenacres Christian's win came from a few key players Morningside Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Rahmello Makonnen, who shot 45% from the field en route to 23 points. He is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 40% in the last eight games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was JayQuan Robinson, who went 9-for-20 to rack up 21 points and five steals.
Morningside Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Greenacres Christian, the win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Morningside Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Greenacres Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
