Baseball Recap: Wright Takes a Loss

Wright suffered their biggest defeat since May 8th on Friday. They came up short against the Tomahawk Hatchets, falling 16-5. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ethan Gallo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Wright: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Parker Osterman, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Wright now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Tomahawk, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hatchets beat Wright by a score of 8-2 later that day.
