Recap: South Bulldogs vs. Eastmoor Academy Warriors
The South Bulldogs can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. Everything went their way against Eastmoor Academy as South made off with a 71-48 victory. Winning may never get old, but South sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
It was another big night for Christian Stokes, who scored 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Maurice Mccall, who scored 14 points.
Eastmoor Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was James Nowell, who scored ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Watkins, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
South's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Eastmoor Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South will take on the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Marion-Franklin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 473rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 104th). As for Eastmoor Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
