Softball Recap: Dayton Christian Takes a Loss

Dayton Christian was the 20-17 winner over Legacy Christian Academy when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The WARRIORS lost 24-14 to the Knights on Tuesday. WARRIORS fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Knights since on Tuesday.

Kallie Burr made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kate Temple, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs.

Dayton Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-5.

Coming up, Dayton Christian will square off against Stivers School for the Arts at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The WARRIORS are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will face off against Yellow Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
