Volleyball Recap: Badger/Greenbush-Middle River's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

After flying high against Grygla-Gatzke on Thursday, Badger/Greenbush-Middle River came back down to earth. The Gators fell just short of the Red Lake Falls Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on September 6th.

Badger/Greenbush-Middle River took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 21-25, 24-26, 25-19, 16-14.

Kylie Snare paced Badger/Greenbush-Middle River's offense, picking up 22 kills. Snare got some help from Zairyn Wimpfheimer and her 48 assists. Lexie Dahl controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

The loss snapped Badger/Greenbush-Middle River's winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 12-8 record. As for Red Lake Falls, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Coming up, Badger/Greenbush-Middle River will take on Northern Freeze co-op [Marshall County Central/Tri-County] at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Lake Falls, they will square off against Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
