Basketball Game Preview: Johnson-Brock Eagles vs. Sterling Jets

Johnson-Brock and Sterling are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Johnson-Brock Eagles will challenge the Sterling Jets on Friday. Johnson-Brock is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

Johnson-Brock picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 50-34 win over Raymond Central.

It was another big night for Taryn Ottemann, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 15 boards. Her afternoon made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Chloe Vice was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Meanwhile, Sterling played a tough game on Monday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 51-13 loss at the hands of Pawnee City. The contest marked the Jets' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Johnson-Brock, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything came up roses for Johnson-Brock against Sterling in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 65-11 win. Will Johnson-Brock repeat their success, or does Sterling have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
