Softball Recap: Bishop Alemany Takes a Loss

Bishop Alemany lost against San Marcos back in April of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors fell just short of the Royals by a score of 6-5.

Hailey-Ann Enright made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Riggen, who earned one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.

Bishop Alemany has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. As for San Marcos, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Bishop Alemany will square off against Flintridge Sacred Heart at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tologs will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for San Marcos, they will take on Righetti at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Royals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
