Softball Game Preview: Ridgeview Wolf Pack vs. Bakersfield Drillers

Ridgeview hasn't had much luck against Bakersfield recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Wolf Pack will square off against the Drillers at 4:00 p.m. Ridgeview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Ridgeview didn't have quite enough to beat Arvin and fell 8-7.

Sofia Ramirez made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Madison Lopez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Bakersfield suffered their closest defeat since March 3rd on Friday. They fell just short of Bakersfield Christian by a score of 10-8.

Bakersfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Ridgeview, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-14.

Ridgeview suffered a grim 14-0 defeat to Bakersfield in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Wolf Pack avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
