Basketball Recap: Arkoma Comes Up Short

Arkoma played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt an 85-20 defeat at the hands of Allen. While losing is never fun, Arkoma can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while Allen is ranked 70th).

Leading Allen to victory were Addison Prentice and Kayla Nickell. Prentice went 10-for-18 on her way to 22 points along with seven assists and four steals, while Nickell shot 60% from the field en route to 17 points and eight steals. That's the most assists Prentice has posted since back in December of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kryslyn Stephens, who went 7-for-11 to rack up 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Arkoma's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Allen, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Arkoma nor Allen have any future games scheduled.
