Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pettus). They were the clear victors by a 20-11 margin over Woodsboro on Friday. Pettus not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 2, 2024 (when they won 21-6).

Pettus has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Woodsboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-16.
