Softball Recap: Crismon Comes Up Short

Crismon fell victim to Eastmark and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Firebirds. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Rattlers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sophia Salvidar made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Crismon's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Eastmark, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crismon will welcome Combs at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Combs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.5 runs per game on average), something Crismon will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Eastmark, they will host Desert Sunrise at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Eastmark is facing Desert Sunrise at the right time seeing as Desert Sunrise is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
