Soccer Recap: Wakefield Takes a Loss

Wakefield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Washington-Liberty Generals, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Wakefield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 236th, while Washington-Liberty are ranked 87th).

Wakefield's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Washington-Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Wakefield is set to square off against their familiar foe Langley at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Washington-Liberty will take on rival Herndon at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
