Navarro can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They took down the Gonzales Apaches 31-14. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Navarro didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Emerson Elder.

Navarro's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-6. As for Gonzales, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Navarro is set to challenge their familiar foe Smithville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Gonzales will face off against rival Wimberley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
