Football Game Preview: Anahuac Panthers vs. East Chambers Buccaneers + How To Watch

The Anahuac Panthers will take on the East Chambers Buccaneers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Anahuac challenged Orangefield on Friday. The Panthers took a blow against the Bobcats, falling 49-14. The Panthers have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, East Chambers played a tough contest on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Hardin, falling 43-21. The loss was the Buccaneers' first of the season.

Anahuac will need to focus on slowing down JD Zurby, one of several East Chambers players who made an impact when they last played. He threw for 115 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 46 yards.

Anahuac's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for East Chambers, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Anahuac didn't have too much breathing room in their game against East Chambers in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 53-48 win.
