Baseball Recap: Stafford Takes a Loss

Stafford managed to slip by East Granby the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Bulldogs lost 14-2 to the Crusaders on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Stafford saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Gudeman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Gudeman's first of the season.

Stafford now has a losing record of 6-7. As for East Granby, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Stafford will host Somers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for East Granby, they will head out on the road to square off against Ellington at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
