Soccer Game Preview: Trinity Lutheran vs. Shawe Memorial

Trinity Lutheran hasn't had much luck against Shawe Memorial recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cougars will face off against the Hilltoppers at 7:00 p.m. Trinity Lutheran is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.

Trinity Lutheran is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They never let Salem get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. Trinity Lutheran haven't had any issues with Salem recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Trinity Lutheran hit Salem with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Laynie Barnes (2), Taylor Kramer (2), and Anyah Carrigan.

Shawe Memorial played against Southwestern on Tuesday and won via forfeit.

Shawe Memorial's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Trinity Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9-1.

Trinity Lutheran suffered a grim 6-1 defeat to Shawe Memorial in their previous meeting back in September. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Cougars were down 3-0.
