Soccer Recap: Hanks Comes Up Short

Hanks lost against Bel Air back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hanks Knights lost 7-0 to the Bel Air Highlanders. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 495th, while the Highlanders are ranked 28th).

Hanks' loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Bel Air, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 13-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanks will square off against Horizon at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hanks is facing Horizon at the right time seeing as Horizon is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Bel Air, they will challenge Del Valle at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Del Valle comes in on five and Bel Air on three.
