Recap: Tolono Unity Rockets vs. Benton Central Bison
After a string of four wins, the Tolono Unity Rockets's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 59-27 loss at the hands of Benton Central. Tolono Unity was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-16.
When it comes to explaining why Tolono Unity lost, one person who can't be blamed is Raegen Stringer. Despite the final result, she scored four points along with six steals. Stringer hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Tolono Unity's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Benton Central, they pushed their record up to 15-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Tolono Unity and Paxton-Buckley-Loda will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Paxton-Buckley-Loda has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30. As for Benton Central, they will head out on the road to face off against McCutcheon at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. McCutcheon is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
