Softball Recap: Ripon Takes a Loss

Ripon was the 4-3 winner over Orestimba when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Indians fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ripon saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Clara Townsend, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Ripon's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-7. As for Orestimba, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ripon will host Sonora at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orestimba, they will be playing at home against Hughson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Huskies have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
