New Buffalo had won four straight games and Colten Lijewski did his part to make it five on Friday. The Bison claimed a resounding 42-14 victory over the Fennville Blackhawks thanks in part to Lijewski, who rushed for 212 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 340 yards and three TDs while picking up 16.2 yards per attempt. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.

New Buffalo's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Fennville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. New Buffalo will square off against NorthPointe Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fennville, they will take on Our Lady of the Lake Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Blackhawks will be up against the Lakers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
