Volleyball Recap: Annabella Brewer's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Mount Juliet over Gallatin

Mount Juliet extended their losing streak to five on Thursday, dropping them down to 7-13. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Gallatin Green Wave. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Green Wave this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Several Golden Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Annabella Brewer, who had 11 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Brookelynn Aldridge, who had 13 digs and two aces.

As for Gallatin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Mount Juliet since August 27, 2022.

Skylar Wilson had an outrageously good game as she had 20 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Mount Juliet didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Harpeth Hall on the 19th. As for Gallatin, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Page on the 19th.
