Basketball Game Preview: Pine Tree Academy Breakers vs. Telstar Rebels

The Pine Tree Academy Breakers will challenge the Telstar Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Pine Tree Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Buckfield just ended the team's four-game winning streak two weeks ago. They took a 37-21 bruising from the Bucks. The contest marked the Breakers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Telstar had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Wiscasset by a score of 30-17 on Thursday.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pine Tree Academy fell to 4-1. As for Telstar, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Pine Tree Academy strolled past Telstar when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 40-23. Will Pine Tree Academy repeat their success, or does Telstar have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
